About fifty cyclists from Fall River and New Bedford, MA, biked the ten miles from their respective cities to the University of Massachusetts in Dartmouth to trace the route of a potential South Coast Bikeway between the two cities. Organized by Mass In Motion coordinators Julianne Kelly and Pauline Hamel with the assistance of Adam Recchia of the Southeastern Regional Planning and Economic Development District, the ride illustrated the potential for more local bike paths to encourage healthier alternatives to automobile transportation.
