The Ancestor Project is a federally funded pilot program aimed at Aboriginal learner development within British Columbia. The goal of the project is to produce a culturally educational software package, based on the existing Alice 3D animation engine, that promotes object oriented programming practices and techniques. It is the hopes of the project to increase awareness of computer science careers to Aboriginal learners.
