These revelations are a continuation of the gift of Word of the Lord oracles that was restored for Israel through the Prophet Joseph Smith. Joseph's revelations are found in the first Book of Commandments, which is now called the Doctrine and Covenants. The first 2BC revelation was given in 1961.
