Time Magazine’s cover story A World without Bees, from August 19, 2013, sends a message loud and clear – “Eliminate the honeybees and agriculture would be permanently diminished.” In the same article, Jeff Pettis, the research leader at the U.S. Department of Agriculture’s (USDA) Bee Research Laboratory, comments – “We are very close to the edge. It’s a roll of the dice.”
