Amir-hassan Ghaseminejad-tafreshi (PhD, Simon Fraser University, 2019) is a faculty member at Capilano University, Faculty of Business and Professional Studies, School of Business. He received his PhD from Faculty of Communication, Art and Technology, School of Communication.

He has a Masters of Science degree in the Research Field of Electrical Engineering in Computer Hardware and a Bachelor of Science degree in Electronic Engineering from Faculty of Electrical Engineering, at Sharif University of Technology. He has taught courses in a variety of areas of information systems. He has taught “Empirical Research Methods for Communications” and “News Media, the Public, and Democracy,” “News Discourse and Political Communication” and Computer Supported Cooperative Work:Critical Perspectives at SFU.

He also has taught at Langara College and Douglas College, British Columbia Institute of Technology, and in Faculty of Electrical Engineering at Sharif University of Technology.
