Government College of Engineering and Ceramic Technology, Kolkata, formerly known as College of Ceramic Technology for its contribution in the field of Ceramic Engineering at the national & international level, has completed its glorious journey of 79 years through continuous progress and attaining excellence in various fields of engineering and technology. During this long period the college has touched many a milestone like producing distinguished alumni, scientists, academicians and industrialists apart from being selected for prestigious World Bank funded Technical Education Quality Improvement Program and eventually becoming an Autonomous college under Maulana Abul Kalam Azad University of Technology in 2012 with an accreditation status of ‘A’ granted by NAAC in the year 2015. The College has also received an extension of Autonomous status for the period 2018 to 2023.
