The European Economists for an Alternative Economic Policy in Europe (the EuroMemo Group) is a network of European social scientists, mainly economists, as well as political scientists and legal scholars committed to promoting full employment with good work, social justice and inclusion, on the basis of ecological sustainability and international solidarity.
The group was founded in 1995 with the express aim of arguing against the TINA (There is No Alternative) dogma and putting forward alternative proposals while forging links with the social movements and the trade unions.
The EuroMemo Group traditionally includes participants from a wide range of European countries. Its core activities consist of an annual conference, usually at the end of September, and the publication of an annual report – the “EuroMemorandum” – which provides a critical analysis of recent developments and proposes alternative policies.
