hessian.AI is a unique centre for AI research excellence in Europe as well as a a recently awarded AI start-up model region (1 of 4 in Germany) bundling forces from 22 (soon 44) AI Principal Investigator in Hesse, spanning all relevant AI research disciplines from robotics, NLP, Deep Learning over Cognitive Science and Casual Reasoning. It has a high focus on sustainable, trustworthy and explainable AI applications that foster a democratic society and its sustainable transformation.

AI Startup Rising channels the startup activities of hessian.AI, the Hessian Center for Artifical Intelligence. The goal is to aggregate and expand existing competencies in Hesse and to build an internationally visible AI innovation ecosystem that understands the region’s cutting-edge AI research as a source of sustainable high-tech and deep-tech startups, produces successful startups, and acts as a point of attraction for talent, investors, and companies.
