Hurwitz farming, situated in the Mpumalanga province of South Africa is a leading grower and supplier of top quality grain fed beef. It is family-owned and operated and comprises a cattle feedlot and general livestock farming incorporating cattle, sheep and Boran cattle stud farming. Hurwitz Farming has the largest herd of registered stud Boran in the world.

The operation was established by Dr. Barney Hurwitz on the farms Hamelfontein and Uitzicht in the Davel district of Bethal, Mpumalanga in the mid 1980’s. Through the years, the operation has grown significantly and stands today as one of the largest feedlot operations in Mpumalanga. At any given time, it has between 3 000 and 10 000 head of cattle.
