This channel has supplemental instructional videos with theory and examples for engineering dynamics and kinematics, focusing on real-life applications and problem solving. It is not meant as a stand-alone course.
- Dynamics is the study of forces and motions of solid objects. It is basically advanced physics I: how objects move when you drop them, push them, throw them, or smash them into each other. Specific topics include rectilinear, curvilinear, projectile, and relative motion, Newton’s laws of motion, work and energy, impulse and momentum, and drag.
- Kinematics is the study of rigid body motion in the absence of forces. This is complementary to dynamics and primarily focuses on determining position, velocity, and acceleration of multibar linkages using the vector loop method. Topics include both mathematical analysis and Matlab simulations.
